The much-awaited trailer of the pan-India Movie Pushpa 2: The Rule was released on Sunday evening in Patna with a bash. Stars Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna graced the grand function at Gandhi Maidan and were available for selfies and photoshoots among more than 10,000 screaming fans.
News agency ANI reported that the crowd seemed to go out of control as fans climbed barricades and structures to get near the stars. It was reportedly necessary for the police to go in for a ‘mild’ lathi charge on the crowd.
A 2-minute and 47-second trailer unveiled Rashmika in the role of Pushparaj’s wife Srivalli while Allu Arjun is returning with his titular role of Pushparaj. The trailer showcases the electric chemistry of fans worldwide. Fans also showered love on Fahadh Fasil, as he brings a commanding and vibrant screen presence to the table for his role as SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat IPS.
In a teaser ahead of its release, the makers let it out on X (formerly Twitter) that the film had already crossed over 30,700 tickets sold and had raked in more than $852,000, making it the fastest and highest pre-sale collection ever recorded for an Indian movie before the trailer was released.
