Massey did equally well in films with outstanding performances in A Death in the Gunj (2016) and Chhapaak (2020). Those roles were a great display of his acting skills, and in A Death in the Gunj, he bagged himself a Filmfare nomination for Best Actor (Critics).

Along with this, Massey also began to score success on the OTT platform. He began featuring in web series such as Mirzapur and Criminal Justice and proved he could succeed in other formats as well.

Vikrant Massey, who recently received hits with 12th Fail, Sector 36, and Sabarmati Express, has stunned many fans by announcing his retirement from acting at the age of 37. He said he would meet his fans for “one last time” in 2025.

Massey said in an Instagram post on 2 December 2024 that he was retiring: “The last few years and beyond have been great. But as I move forward, I realise it’s time to recalibrate and go back home. As a husband, father, and son.” 

Vikrant Massey’s Last Projects

He confirmed that the last two projects would indeed be Yaar Jigri and Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, which he would deliver in 2025.

Massey is retiring in 2025, and two movies will be out that year. Yaar Jigri would be a drama, but Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan will narrate a romantic touching story. Fans are looking forward to these films since it would be his final performances.
